Global sales tax and VAT, filed under our name

Because doresell is the legal seller on every order, tax obligations attach to us — not you. We calculate the buyer's local rate at checkout, collect it, and remit it under our own registrations, so you never open a foreign tax account.

The buyer's rate, every time

Tax is computed from the buyer's billing country at checkout — 19% in Germany, 27% in Hungary, the correct rate everywhere else — and shown transparently on the order summary before payment.

All 27 EU states and beyond

Coverage spans the full EU VAT area plus the UK, United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland, Norway, Japan, Singapore and a growing list of jurisdictions.

Tax-inclusive or tax on top

Choose per product whether the price you set already includes tax or whether tax is added at checkout — so EU-style inclusive pricing and US-style exclusive pricing both work naturally.

Correct product categorisation

Your products are classified for tax purposes based on what your business sells — digital goods or software — so the right treatment applies in every jurisdiction without you researching category codes.

Discounts before tax

Discount codes reduce the taxable amount before tax is calculated, so promotional pricing never causes buyers to be overcharged or filings to be overstated.

Filing-grade records

Every transaction stores its tax amount and the buyer's billing details, so the tax on each sale is always traceable. The filings themselves are our job — you never assemble a VAT return.

What being the merchant of record means for tax

This is the difference between a payment processor and doresell:

  • With a processor, you are the merchant: you must register, collect and file in every jurisdiction where you cross a threshold.
  • With doresell, we are the merchant: sales are reported under our registrations, and the liability for getting rates and filings right is ours.
  • You keep reporting your own business income at home exactly as before — one line of revenue from doresell instead of a hundred foreign filings.
  • Your monthly statement shows revenue, tax, fees and net per currency, so your accountant can verify everything without a spreadsheet archaeology project.

Common questions

Do I still need to register for VAT or sales tax anywhere?+

No. Sales made through doresell are made by doresell as merchant of record and reported under our registrations. You continue to report your own income in your home country as normal.

What if a country changes its tax rate?+

Rates are maintained centrally by doresell and applied from the moment they change. Your prices, links and products need no updates.

Is tax shown to the buyer before they pay?+

Yes — the checkout shows the subtotal, the tax line at the buyer's local rate, and the total, updating live as the buyer selects their billing country.

One rate. 3.9% + $0.35 / €0.25 / £0.25 per successful order.

No monthly fee, no setup cost, tax filings included. You pay only when you sell.
