Every doresell payment link opens a hosted checkout page where we act as the merchant of record. The buyer sees your store, pays the correct local tax, and gets a compliant receipt — you never touch a tax table.
Local tax, calculated live
The order summary recalculates VAT, GST or sales tax the moment the buyer selects their billing country, at that country's rate. You choose per product whether tax is added on top or already included in the price.
Pay-what-you-want pricing
Let buyers choose their own price above your minimum — useful for community pricing, tip-supported products and early-access launches.
Discount codes
Percentage or fixed-amount codes with redemption caps, start and end dates, and per-product scoping. Discounts apply before tax, so the buyer is never overcharged.
Return flows you control
Set success and cancel URLs per product so buyers land back in your app, course or thank-you page. Prefill the customer email to remove a step from checkout.
A real test environment
Test mode is a fully separated twin of your live store. Test links, products and orders never mix with live data, and test payments settle instantly so you can verify your integration end to end.
What happens on every order
The checkout is where the merchant of record model does its work. On each sale:
- The buyer enters their email and billing country; tax is computed at their local rate on our side — prices are never trusted from the browser.
- doresell sells as the legal merchant of record, so the tax liability and the dispute liability sit with us, not you.
- The order lands in your payments list with tax, fees and status broken out, and your webhook fires so access is delivered instantly.
- Funds accrue to your balance in the order's currency — USD, EUR or GBP — ready for payout on schedule.
Common questions
Do I need my own Stripe or payment processor account?+
No. doresell processes payments on its own acquiring as the merchant of record. You connect your product, we handle the transaction, and you receive a netted payout.
What appears on the buyer's card statement?+
doresell appears as the seller of record on the statement, while the checkout page itself shows your store and business name, so buyers know exactly what they purchased.
Which currencies can I charge in?+
Products can be priced in USD, EUR or GBP. Balances are kept strictly per currency and are never converted or mixed, so reconciliation stays exact.
Can I try the checkout before going live?+
Yes — every account includes a separated test environment with its own products, links and play-money payments that settle instantly.
